This virtual oral assessment event is an opportunity for learners to complete their oral tasks for the 2025 academic year without the need to appoint an independent assessor, as all orals will be evaluated by an Impaq-approved assessor at this event. Learners may complete any (or all!) of their oral tasks at the event.

Note that if a learner would like to complete orals for their Home Language and First Additional Language, separate tickets need to be purchased for each subject.

Please note:

  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Please ensure that you purchase a ticket for the correct date, and subject as ticket exchanges are not permitted.
  • If a learner misses their assigned time for the Virtual assessment, or they are unable to attend the virtual assessment, they will have to book another ticket, should another assessment event be available.
  • After booking a ticket for a Virtual Assessment Event, Impaq will send you the details of the assessor that has been assigned to your Virtual Assessment.
  • The assessor will contact the account holder of the learner and make arrangements pertaining to the Virtual Oral assessment for the day you have booked the ticket.
  • Learners will need a strong and stable internet connection in order to partake in this option.
  • The learner should state his/her name and surname, grade, subject (e.g. English Home Language), task number, and institution name (Impaq) when starting with the oral assessment's recording.
  • All virtual oral assessments must be recorded, but NO PRE-RECORDED MATERIAL MAY BE ASSESSED.  All virtual assessments must be “live”, interactive sessions between the assessor and the learner.
  • During the Listening Comprehension, the assessor must be able to see the desk where the learner is writing. Within 30 minutes after completion of the Listening Comprehension, the completed answer sheet must reach the assessor via email. Failure to adhere to this requirement may result in an irregularity.
  • At no stage of the assessment may the learner mute themselves.
  • Virtual assessments must be conducted in examination conditions. Learners may thus not socialize with friends and/or family members during the assessment.  Parents may assist in case of technical difficulties.
