This virtual Consumer/Hospitality Studies PAT assessment event is an opportunity for learners to complete their Consumer/Hospitality Studies PATs for the 2026 academic year without the need to appoint an independent assessor, as all PATs will be evaluated by an Impaq-approved assessor.  

Bookings made for this option will happen during the month booked for and NOT on the first of the month as per the event dates.
Note that if a learner would like to complete both of their Hospitality Studies PATs, separate tickets need to be purchased for each PAT.
Learners are invited to join us for this virtual assessment event to complete their Consumer/Hospitality Studies PAT tasks for the 2026 academic year. The following tasks can be completed at this assessment event:

Consumer Studies

Grade 10 and 11

Task/Taak 7.2

Hospitality Studies

Grade 10 and 11

Task/Taak 8.2 and 9.2*

 

Please note:

  • Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Please ensure that you purchase a ticket for the correct month, and subject as ticket exchanges are not permitted.
  • Bookings made for this option will happen during the month booked for and NOT on the first of the month as per the event dates.
  • The assessor will contact the account holder of the learner directly and make further arrangements pertaining to the virtual assessment for the month you have booked the ticket. Dates are subject to the assessors availability during the month booked for. 
  • If a learner misses their assigned time for the Virtual assessment, or they are unable to attend the virtual assessment, they will have to book another ticket, should another assessment event be available. 
  • Learners will need a strong and stable internet connection in order to partake in this option. 
  • All virtual oral assessments must be recorded, but NO PRE-RECORDED MATERIAL MAY BE ASSESSED. All virtual assessments must be live, interactive sessions between the assessor and the learner. 
  • At no stage of the assessment may the learner mute themselves. 
  • Virtual assessments must be conducted in examination conditions. Learners may thus not socialize with friends and/or family members during the assessment.  Parents may assist in case of technical difficulties or when the assessor asks for input.  
  • Please note, ZOOM assessors will NOT mark the written tasks for Hospitality studies! This needs to be sent to Impaq to be marked. Consumer studies written work for task 7.2 or task 6 may be sent to the assessor to be sent in with the PAT as this forms part of the practical task.
