Construct a scale model of a mine shaft headgear (winding tower). This Grade 8 project introduces learners to structural stability, bracing, and pulley systems used in real-world mining and mechanical engineering applications.
Recreate a mine shaft headgear (winding tower) and discover the engineering behind one of South Africa’s most iconic mining structures. This Grade 8 Technology kit allows learners to explore concepts such as structural integrity, mechanical systems, and pulley-based hoisting mechanisms while constructing their own scale model.
