Detail: Poems will be revised with the focus on style, tone, intention and theme.  Time will also be spent on preparing best for the poetry essay.

Course: English Home language

Topic: Novel Strategies

Detail: Focus will be on ensuring understanding of the author's intention with The Picture of Dorian Gray; character development, symbolism and thematic analysis will be discussed.

Topic: Hamlet

Detail: Understanding of the context, character development, thematic analysis and plot development, will be the main focus during this recap of Shakespeare's play, Hamlet.

Session 2 (03 July): 11:30 – 13:30

Course: English Home Language

Topic    Language Conventions

Detail: The focus will be on what type of questions can be expected in the English Home Language exam.  There will also be revision on all kinds of the subject's aspects so that the exam can be tackled with confidence.
